In order to facilitate travel opportunities for citizens and strengthen ties between countries, the visa requirement for holders of ordinary passports of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Kuwait, and the Kingdom of Bahrain has been abolished for entry into the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan from 15 February 2026 to 15 February 2027.
It is noted that during the period of validity of the new rules, citizens of the specified countries may enter Azerbaijan without a visa up to three times and stay in the country for up to 30 days on each entry. Persons planning to travel for purposes other than tourism or intending to stay for a longer period may enter the country after obtaining the appropriate visa in accordance with the legislation.
In addition, third-country nationals holding a temporary or permanent residence permit valid for at least six months, issued by the competent authorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Sultanate of Oman, the State of Kuwait, the Kingdom of Bahrain, or the State of Qatar, are eligible to obtain a single-entry 30-day tourist visa at the international airports of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
It should be recalled that foreigners temporarily staying in Azerbaijan for more than 15 days must register at their place of stay in accordance with the requirements of the Migration Code. Furthermore, where grounds provided by law exist, foreign nationals may apply, before the expiration of their stay, for an extension of the stay period or for a temporary residence permit either in person through the “migration services” window at ASAN service centers or electronically via the “Electronic Services” section of the official website of the State Migration Service.
